Legal & General Group Plc announces that, the trustees of the Legal & General Employees' Share Ownership Trust (ESOT) have purchased the following number of Ordinary shares of 2.5p each.

Number of ordinary shares purchased:                                 1,436,596

Highest price paid per share:                                                   85.48p

Lowest price paid per share:                                                   83.46p

Volume weighted average price paid per share:              84.42p

These shares were acquired to satisfy needs arising under existing employee share schemes in which employees and executive directors participate.
