In accordance with the provisions of Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, Legal & General Group Plc ("the Group") has been advised today by AXA Investment Managers UK Ltd that, as at 8 July 2005, AXA S.A. no longer has a notifiable interest in the ordinary shares of 2.5p of the Group.
