Equality and Diversity
A revised Equality and Diversity policy, reflecting changes in legislation and workplace practices, was launched in November 2005 to coincide with Partnership Day, an annual event to raise awareness of Partnership working with Amicus.
The Equality and Diversity Committee has focused on training initiatives and, as a result, Equality and Diversity is now covered in management training, including recruitment and performance management.
A number of Equality and Diversity related questions were asked in the 2005 Employee Satisfaction Survey, covering such issues as family-friendly/flexible working practices and being treated as an individual, as well as harassment and bullying. The responses were very positive and we are currently analysing these with Amicus.
